OMTI Customer Portal Privacy Policy

The OMTI Customer Portal Privacy Policy describes how OMTI Inc., the developers of ReporterBase and MetaRecords products and services, treats personal information (“personal information” is defined as any information that identifies or can be used to identify the person to whom such information pertains) provided when you use OMTI Customer Portal, a service that enables you to interact with OMTI over the internet. This information is in addition to the general Privacy Policy that governs omti.com.

Please note that the practices of OMTI Inc. and its agents (“OMTI”), with respect to data collected and used by OMTI in connection with OMTI Customer Portal and related products and services available or enabled via OMTI Customer Portal (“OMTI Customer Portal”), are governed by this online privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) as amended from time to time, and not the privacy policy in effect at the time the data was collected. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those OMTI sites, products and services that do not display or link to this Privacy Policy or that have their own privacy statements. Please regularly review our Privacy Policy. If you have objections to the Privacy Policy, you should immediately discontinue use of OMTI Customer Portal and related products and services and follow the procedure described in the section entitled “Updating your personal information and privacy preferences.” To the extent that any terms of the Privacy Policy conflict with the terms of an existing written (including electronic) agreement between you and OMTI regarding the use of specific areas of OMTI Customer Portal or specific products and services (including product- and service-specific licenses, terms of use, or privacy disclosures) (collectively, “Product Agreements”), the terms of the Product Agreements shall govern.

You are in control of your information

  1.  You control who is authorized to access your information through OMTI Customer Portal. By default, you are the only user who can view and edit your personal information. If you choose to, you can share your information with others.
  2. OMTI will not sell, rent, or share your information (identified or de-identified) without your explicit consent, except in such limited situations as when OMTI believes it is required to do so by law, regulation, or litigation. We may also disclose information about you if we determine that such disclosure should be made for reasons of national security, law enforcement, or other issues of public importance.

How OMTI Customer Portal uses your information

  1.  To use OMTI Customer Portal, you will need an OMTI Customer Portal account. When you subscribe to an OMTI product, such as RB9 or MR8, you are eligible to receive an OMTI Customer Portal account. OMTI  will ask for your email address to set up your account, then provide you with a user name and password for the account to protect your account from unauthorized access. You can change your password at any time.
  2. OMTI’s servers automatically record log information about your use of OMTI Customer Portal (such as number of sign-ins and number of times a link was clicked). This information is temporarily stored in association with your OMTI Customer Portal account.
  3. OMTI may communicate information to you regarding products, services, and special offers available from OMTI unless you have opted not to receive such communications or such communications are prohibited by law, although in such cases we may find it necessary to continue to communicate with you regarding your use of OMTI Customer Portal and related products and services. These communications are considered part of your OMTI Customer Portal account, which you may not be able to opt out of receiving.

Updating your personal information & privacy preferences

You have the right to access, change, and correct your personal information and privacy preferences at any time. This may be accomplished by logging in to your account on OMTI Customer Portal, where you can typically view and make changes to your personal information.

If you are a California resident, you can also request an inventory of what personal information OMTI collects about you up to twice a year per the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

Changes in Privacy Policy

All personal information that we collect and maintain will be subject to this Privacy Policy, as amended from time to time. OMTI may change the Privacy Policy from time to time at its sole discretion and will provide notice of all changes in the Privacy Policy through indications on this Privacy Policy and on the web pages with authorized links to this Privacy Policy. If as the result of such changes you want to alter the ways in which OMTI is allowed to use your personal information, you can do so by following the procedure described in the section entitled “Updating your personal information and privacy preferences.” You will be deemed to have been made aware of, and will be subject to, the changes to the Privacy Policy after such notice has been posted.
