MR Web has been completely rewritten for security, speed, convenience
and customization. Use MR Web 8’s new features to market your
business, such as putting the sign-in module on your home page, so
users visit your site every time they sign into MR Web.
Top new features in MR Web 8:
- Case-based Repository – Store
all case-related files in the repository, so clients can quickly
access them by case name and/or other search criteria. Get new
clients by offering them access to an online case repository during
the pre-discovery period.
- Downloadable Invoices – Online
invoices include payment history and a downloadable PDF version,
so you don’t have to email clients a copy of a lost invoice.
They can get it quicker themselves from their online office.
- Online Order Form Integrated into Case
Manager – Clients can request records directly from
their order calendar, making it easier for them to order from
you again. And because MR Web 8’s order form is “smart,” they
don’t have to key in a lot of information. They can simply
copy an existing order and update it. Also, much of the information
in the order form is entered by selecting items in drop-down
menus or clicking checkboxes. This further reducing the need
for typing, which speeds up the process and reduces errors. And
when a client sends in a request, it’s immediately listed
in their online calendar as a pending request.
- Windows and Mac Compatible – Clients who
prefer to work on Macs can use your MR Web 8.
- Multi-Browser Compatibility – Users
can access your MR Web through Internet Explorer or

sign in, they are greeted by a main screen that contains a brief
site overview as a default. You can change this content to anything
you want any time you want. Advertise new services, announce important
events — anything you wish to tell your clients can be included

select from services you specify when ordering records online.
Selecting services from your custom list means quicker ordering
and no more inconsistent service descriptions or misspellings.
It also provides a way to passively market your services to clients
because they can see a full and accurate listing of all of your
services whenever they order records.

Web 8 has been rewritten from scratch using the Microsoft .NET
Framework 2.0 to make the program more secure and interoperable.
- Fast page loads – MR Web
8 generates the HTML for its pages locally within the browser,
and only downloads JavaScript calls and the actual data (using
AJAX [asynchronous JavaScript & XML]) when requested by the
user. This technique significantly reduces bandwidth consumption
for MR Web, and pages load quickly since the payload coming down
is much smaller in size, and the rest of the layout does not have
to be redrawn on each update.

Searchable online status reports
You have to keep your clients up-to-date on the status of their
records requests. Maybe you send your clients printed status report
at least once every two weeks, which translates into a lot of time
and money spent to update all of your clients on all cases. Even
worse, a printed status report is usually inaccurate by the time
a client receives it because status can change daily.
Online MR Web status reports are different — because MR Web
is hooked directly into your MR8 database, the online status of any
record is always current. As soon as you enter any information into
your MR8, it’s available in MR Web.
Clients can quickly know the up-to-the-minute status of any record
any time of day, 365 days a year with a simple check of their online
status reports.
And online status reports are searchable, so clients can find information
easily — much easier than searching through paper copies of
status reports.

Electronic delivery of documents
If you already scan records for archival purposes, you can offer
your clients online record viewing — a convenience for them
and a time saver for you.
Electronic document delivery is easier than sending client records.
For example, when they are doing medical summaries and can't locate
some records at their office when the nurse needs to review them — instead
of having to call you for another copy, they can look at the records
online. They don't have to wait for a physical copy anymore.
And if they want hard copies, they can download and/or print any
of the viewable records from their browser.
Online record viewing is optional in MR Web. If you don’t
want to upload records, you don’t have to. But if you already
scan records for your archives as TIFFs or PDFs, making them available
online in MR Web’s repository is an easy way to add value to
your services.

Up-to-the-minute financial information
With MR Web, your clients have round-the-clock access to their current
financial status and activity. They can check which orders have been
invoiced, which invoices they have paid, and what balances are outstanding.
They can view their overall account activity, or just the activity
in a particular time frame or for a specific case. They can also
view individual invoices’ details online.
With current financial information at their fingertips, they can
provide better service to their own clients too. For example, they
can search balances by case and quickly find information on expenses
when settling a case.
In the same way, if they are working under a cap set by an insurance
company, they can keep tabs on how much they have spent so far. Or
if a third party is paying, they can easily see if the third party
has paid yet.

With MR Web, your clients can order records online and
you can import their requests in your MR8 database automatically.
Your clients don’t have to type up order sheets anymore, they
can do it online. They will save time and reduce errors because they
can copy an existing request, enter just the information that’s

Easily accessible anywhere in the world
All your clients need to use your MR Web site is access to the Internet
on any computer running the latest version of Internet
Explorer or Firefox on Windows
or Firefox or Safari on
Mac — there’s no special
application to install or learn, and they don’t have to use
any hard disk space for their information. Their data stays on your
server.
Secure, restricted access
You assign each client their own unique user ID and password, so
they can access their own records and information only. They can’t
access anyone else’s area of your MR Web, and no one else can
access their area.
