Managing clients’ resource preferences

If a firm or contact has resources they prefer on their jobs, and conversely if there are resources they do not want assigned to their jobs, you can use the Preferred and Blocked Resources panes in their listing to manage their preferences. When assigning resources to tasks on jobs they scheduled or ordered, preferred resources will appear at the top of the list. And if you try to assign one of their blocked resources, RB will alert you and not allow the assignment.

  1. In an Edit Firm/Edit Contact window, scroll or jump to the Preferred Resources or Blocked Resources pane.
  2. Any resources that have already been entered appear in the panes. Click add button next to:
  3. In the Lookup Resource panel, find the resource you want to include. See Looking up resources. The selected resource appears in the selected pane’s list.
  4. To remove any listed resource, check the box next to the resource’s name in the list, and click delete buton. then click Yes in the popup.
