Connect highlights
MR Connect replaces MR Web, the plug-in that gives clients access to your office online. This page covers the changes in the management tools from MR Web to MR Connect. Visit the MR Connect vs. MR Web page to see the changes on the client side of MR Connect.
MR Connect: the new MR Web
MR Connect — the new MR Web — is an optional plug-in for MR9. It includes all the modules currently in MR Web, except that like MR9 it has been re-thought from the ground up so there have been some notable changes:
Clients can pay invoices — including COD — online. They pay the current amount of the invoice — including all finance charges and late fees — and payments are processed in the background via PayPal or a payment gateway like Square or Stripe. Your clients stay in your MR Connect site instead of being redirected to a 3rd-party site. Read the e-commerce page for more info.
Some modules from MR Web have been combined in MR Connect to simplify the interface, making it quicker and easier to use. For example a new personal module gathers up user preferences, password management, an interactive user guide, access to the new dashboard, and log out in one dropdown menu.
MR Connect includes MR Web plug-ins
MR Web is a plug-in with its own plug-ins. MR Connect includes these plug-ins free of charge in the MR Connect subscription. Plug-ins included in MR Connect:
- My Reward Points gives clients access to their points online if you operate a points system (included in MR9). They can see their current points balance, pending amounts and history, plus make requests to redeem or transfer points online.
- Order Progress Access Extension allow others (such as co-counsels) who are not your client yet to view order progress online.
Users have options
Based on your feedback we have added and refined the user experience in MR Connect from MR Web:
Sign in using social media
You can give users the option to sign into MR Connect through their Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, or Microsoft accounts.
User information updates are simplified
Users can update their personal contact information and password online. However clients can’t change their company information in your database themselves — so you maintain control. Nor can users change their user ID — removing the risk of them forgetting their ID.
Users can customize their experience
Users can arrange the panes on their MR Connect dashboard (their new welcome screen) to have the information most important to them appear in the most visible screen real estate. They can also set some preferences — such whether their MR Connect displays information in dark or light mode.
New functions
Send Invitations: Email contacts customized invitations to your MR Connect that automatically include their user name and other pertinent information.
Support Tickets: Just like the Report Issues function in the Help module this gives you a way to report and resolve problems you are having with MR9 or MR9 Connect, this function gives your clients the same way to communicate with your company and document when they have an issue using MR Connect.
Renamed functions
Some functions remain the same but with different names that are simplified or more descriptive:
- Import Web Requests is Import Online Orders.
- COD Invoices is Publish COD Invoices.
- Web Activity Log is Activity Log.
- Site Configurations is Connect Preferences.
- The optional MR Web points plugin is Fulfill Points Redemption Orders.
