For records retrieval firms, process servers, and other litigation support firms

Setup highlights

A big change in the Setup module could be called housecleaning. Functions for setting up contacts, firms, locations, and business units have been moved to their own module, Entities. And set-up functions that were under Tools before have been moved to their proper place here.

Set-up functions moved to Setup module

MR8’s Code Manager has been renamed Lists in MR9 and moved from Tools to Setup. It also included some additional set-up options based on new MR9 functionality.

Other functions moved from Tools to Setup:

  • Users and Groups — The tool you use to manage MR9 users individually and grouped according to permissions, rights, and notifications.
  • System Preferences — Where you set global preferences used throughout your MR9 system by all users.

New form template functions

The new Form Templates function in Tools that replaces MR8’s Form Manager adds 2 new form set-up functions.

Form Types and Groups

Replaces MR8’s Group Manager. In MR8 and MR9 you assign form templates to different Form Types (main categories) and Form Groups (subcategories) to organize them and determine what datasets are available to insert into the forms. You can add new Form Groups in MR8 in the Group Manager but Form Types are uneditable. In MR9 you can edit, delete, and add your own form types — plus select which datasets are available in your form types.

Form Data List Templates

Replaces MR8’s Data Source Manager’s uneditable data source templates with an editable set you can make better fit your company’s needs.

Additional new Setup functions

Repository Descriptions: Instead of typing a description for each file uploaded to MR9 repositories, develop a list of typical descriptions you can pick from for repository files.

States: Customize MR9’s State dropdowns to present only states you need. Hide states you don’t use and add/edit/delete states for countries other than the USA.
